Work is currently underway to include additional data within EdStats from a variety of sources including; Finance, Facilities and Human Resources. The eventual aim is to combine this data in a form that will provide a richer picture of educational activities and resource usage.

Alternative methods of presentation are also being examined including a 'map based' interface (eg access to information by clicking on State or District maps) and additional analysis features.

This site will also offer facilities to replace the current manual census collections with electronic versions.
